Glenfarclas Vintage 2001 was released in 2018 as part of The Family Casks series. The refill sherry butt where the whiskey matures on finally produced 553 bottles that are all bottled at cask strength. The nose is rich, full and fruity with this subtle hints of sherry. The taste is sweet with noticeable hints of chocolate, sherry and nuts. In addition, keys are of oak present for balancing the whole. The finish is somewhat dry, spicy and has a light sweetness.
