This Glenfarclas whiskey was distilled in 1994 and bottled in 2018 as part of the popular Family Casks series. Within this annual series is only one vessel per vintage were good enough to eventually bottle. This quality of these bottlings underlined. The Glenfarclas Vintage 1994 matures in one refill sherry butt and has a print run of 552 bottles, bottled at cask strength. The smell is holding a combination of layers of sweets and spices that harmoniously balanced. The spicy flavor opens, both spicy and slightly sweetened. With time in the glass make sweets are seeing more and a hint of oak. This goes on for a long, creamy finish in which sweets and fruit stand.
