Springbank 11 years Local Barley is the second release of this series and the successor to the Springbank 16 years Local Barley. The used barley comes from the Aros farm which is located in the vicinity of the distillery. Reportedly does smell reminiscent of notes of fruit, vanilla, fresh bread with butter and raisins. The taste is sweet and round with delicate influences from peat. This is accompanied by soft fruit notes. The finish is relatively long with slight influences from earth, peat and acidity. The edition is limited to 9000 bottles worldwide.
