This Port Ellen is the oldest whiskey to neither to be released by this brand, while available resources are shrinking. The total circulation of this expression refers only 1,500 bottles. The first part of this series is dedicated to John Ramsay, an old distillery manager of Port Ellen. The 'spirit safe', with which the liquid after the distillation stage is split into three parts before it goes ripening, under its administration was only really an added value, and lifted the quality of the final whiskey to a higher level. A nice detail is that whiskey can only be removed from its container using two unique keys, which is inspired by the locks that hang from the spirit safe.
