Plantation Fiji 2009 is a distinctive and rich vintage rum matures in ex-bourbon barrels in Fiji seven years, before it goes to France on transport. At Maison Ferrand, a prestigious cognac house, the rum is aged for two to three years. Plantation Fiji 2009 is pronounced and intense with rich and round taste. The smell of this rum is very nice, oily and fruity. Pear and banana move to more spicy notes and hints of oak. Flavors of vanilla and caramel blend seamlessly into one another. This is followed by cocoa, ginger, fruits and hazelnuts. An excellent rum to enjoy neat or with ice.
