Octomore 9.3 is completely made on the basis of barley derived from Islay. The maturation takes place on both ex-whiskey barrels and barrels of French wine, and whiskey is bottled at age five. The final edition relates to 18,000 bottles. Nose: barley, heather and sponge cake. Taste: tea, smoke, flowers, syrup and something ziltigs. Finish: smoky, oak and rye.
