Glenglassaugh 40 years in 1975 is a creation that is made under Master Blender Billy Walker, a big name in the world of whiskey. The maturation takes place at one Massandra Madeira Puncheon hogshead and has a circulation of only 588 bottles. The fragrance combines cacao, dates, figs and prunes. It is also to note hints of pepper. The taste is reminiscent of layers of toffee, orange zest which provides the balance. Further noting delicate hints of sherry and tobacco.
