Crown Royal is released in Canada in 1939 by Samuel Bronfman in honor of the visit of King George VI and his wife Queen Elizabeth. Until 1964 it was only available in Canada. Today it is the best-selling Canadian whiskey in the USA. Crown Royal is made in Manitoba distillery, on the shores of Lake Winnipeg. There are 2 million barrels waiting in 46 warehouses transported to the Canadian site Amherstburg Ontario to be blended and bottled.
